Welcome to CardLabs! The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to CardLabs. CardLabs operates this website and store (cardlabs.co.uk), including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”). CardLabs is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline your rights and obligations when using our Services. By accessing or using our website, purchasing a product, or engaging with any of our Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our Services.

1. ACCESS AND ACCOUNT

By using our Services, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your place of residence, or that you have obtained permission from a parent or guardian.

When creating an account or placing an order, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activity under your account.

2. OUR PRODUCTS

We make every effort to accurately display our products and designs. However, variations in colour or appearance may occur due to screen differences or device settings.

All products, descriptions, and prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, or refuse service where appropriate.

3. ORDERS

By placing an order, you are making an offer to purchase a product. CardLabs reserves the right to accept or decline any order at its discretion. Your order is accepted only once payment has been processed and confirmed.

Because our products are custom-made and personalised, we are unable to accept cancellations or offer refunds once production has begun, except as detailed in our Refund Policy.

You represent that your purchases are for personal use and not for resale.

4. PRICES AND BILLING

Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Shipping and handling fees are calculated at checkout. We reserve the right to change prices or promotional offers at any time without notice.

You agree to provide accurate billing and payment details and authorise us to charge your payment method for all purchases made through our Services.

5. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

We aim to dispatch all orders within 7 days. Delivery times are estimates only and may vary. Once an order has been handed to the shipping carrier, risk of loss transfers to you.

We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs, or events beyond our control.

6. USER CONTENT AND UPLOADED MATERIALS

By uploading, submitting, or providing any images, artwork, text, or other materials (“User Content”) to CardLabs, you confirm that:

  • You own or have the legal right to use that content;

  • Your content does not infringe on the rights of any third party (including trademarks or copyrights); and

  • Your content is not unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate.

You grant CardLabs a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, modify, reproduce, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of creating and delivering your order.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that CardLabs uses artificial intelligence (“AI”) tools to transform uploaded images into custom artwork (for example, anime-style versions of your photos). Your images may be processed through AI systems securely for this purpose only.

We do not use uploaded images to train AI models, nor do we share your content with external parties for unrelated uses.

Image Retention and Deletion

All uploaded images and related content are automatically deleted from our systems once your order has been produced and shipped.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All trademarks, logos, text, designs, graphics, and content on our website are owned by CardLabs or its licensors and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content or designs for commercial purposes without written permission.

CardLabs does not claim ownership of your original User Content. All rights remain with you or the original rights holder.

8. OPTIONAL TOOLS AND THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our Services may include third-party tools, links, or integrations (such as Shopify). We do not control or endorse these third parties and are not responsible for their content or actions. Use of third-party tools or websites is at your own risk. Please review their policies before engaging with them.

9. RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

CardLabs is powered by Shopify, which provides our e-commerce platform. However, all sales and transactions are made directly between you and CardLabs. Shopify is not responsible for any product, order, or issue arising from your transactions with us.

10. PRIVACY POLICY

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, process, and protect your data.

Because our store is hosted by Shopify, your information may also be processed under Shopify’s Privacy Policy.

11. CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law. If any part of these Terms conflicts with your legal rights, those rights will take precedence.

12. FEEDBACK

If you provide us with feedback, reviews, or suggestions, you grant CardLabs a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content for improving our Services or marketing—but we will never publicly display your personalised designs or images without your consent.

13. ERRORS AND INACCURACIES

Occasionally, our site may contain typographical or pricing errors. We reserve the right to correct these errors or cancel affected orders at any time without notice.

14. PROHIBITED USES

You agree not to use the Services for unlawful purposes, to infringe on others’ rights, to upload harmful content or software, or to attempt to disrupt the website or its security. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

15. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if you breach these Terms. Any obligations that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will continue to apply.

16. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

Our products and Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of our Services or products.

These Terms and any related disputes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You and CardLabs agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
